In 1984 Franklin Avenue in Hartford, CT became the birthplace of Franklin Jewelers. It was here that owner and goldsmith, Geno Avenoso dedicated himself to provide every client the highest quality merchandise and expert service. His ability to speak Italian and Spanish would prove throughout his 17 years in Hartford to establish a home family environment to all he served. He was President of The Franklin Avenue Merchant Association, a member of the Knights of Columbus and Italian Officers Association. He was honored in Who’s Who in 1987 and ‘The Goldsmith Publication’ for his contributions toward the growth of Hartford Retailers. In 1998, Geno opened his second store on Rt. 4, Farmington, CT. where he further continues to serve his community in numerous ways as well as Constable and in charitable organizations such as UNICO. 

 In 2014 Geno has relocated his business to 196 Main Street (Post Office Square) Farmington, CT. where he and his on-site Master Designer offer their clients a combined 70 plus years of expertise. It is here at their work benches you will find them designing that perfect engagement ring and one- of- a- kind designs of gold, platinum or silver. Geno remains true to his founding dedications along with his wife and expert staff of 31 years. A full service jeweler, providing a complete line of fine jewelry, fashion designs, watches and giftware. All jewelry repairs are done on premises. Insurance appraisals are available. Expert watch and clock repairs are also available. They will buy your unwanted gold, diamonds and precious metals and offer complete confidentiality if required.
